Transilvania

Today we are in Sinia in romania. Autumn is just poking out it's glorious head in this beautiful town. The leaves are going orange which many of us Aussies aren't use to, at least not on this scale. It's glorious... the most beautiful palace in Romania is here. It's a relatively new building that took 30 years to complete. It's an ultra decadent 'summer palace'. In the afternoon three of us took on the mountain. Sarah, our canadian friend Ron and I took the Cable car up to 1400 metres and had the wacky idea of walk up to 2000 metres. Yipes. My newly discovered fear of heights in hand, we three truely Intrepid travellers took to the hill. With a time limit of 2 hours before the cable cars stopped operating we had to hike it. Luckily i had the power of adreniline on my side and we made in up in 1.5 hours. It was both exciting and terrifying.

Yesterday we went to two Castles, one in Rasov and Drac's proper Castle. Dracs was very 50% lame and highy Touristy but Rasov was beautiful. The back half is covered in ruins that you can climb up on to get a 360 view. Cool.

We have one more day in Romania before we cross the border into Bulgaria.
